Features of the DJ-9000 DispenseJet®

  • Jets a wide range of fluids for many applications, including:
    • Underfill
    • No-Flow Underfill
    • Surface Mount Adhesive (SMA)
    • Encapsulants
    • Die Attach
    • Conformal Coating
    • UV Cure Adhesives
    • Stacked Die Adhesives
    • Flat Panel Display (FPD) assembly fluids
    • Thermal Interfaces
    • and more...
  • Fast - jetting eliminates z-axis motion
  • Accurate - jetting is highly repeatable
  • Easy to use and maintain
  • Small wetted path so less fluid is wasted
  • One model handles multiple applications
  • Dot diameter as small as 0.33mm (0.013 in.), compatible with typical 0402 components

Special Features

These features are unique to Asymtek dispensing systems, like the Axiom™ and Spectrum™ and series dispensers for use with jetting technology.

Mass Flow Control (MFC) & Calibrated Process Jetting (CPJ)

Asymtek’s Calibrated Process Jetting (CPJ) is a version of Mass Flow Control (MFC) – or weight-controlled dispensing -- specifically designed for jetting with the DispenseJet® valve.

During CPJ, automatic calibration ensures that a user-specified amount of fluid is consistently jetted. A series of dots are jetted and weighed to calculate a weight per dot. The system then automatically determines how many dots to put into a line of fluid (like underfill), based upon the amount of mass programmed for that line or dot. Dispenser speed and jet operation are adjusted to control the dispensed weight of material, thereby greatly improving process control.

Jet on the Fly

“Jet on the Fly” (JOF) technology is Asymtek’s fastest jetting method. With JOF technology, the DispenseJet valve can dispense lines of dots “on the fly” -- without stopping. Unlike “stop-and-shoot” methods, lines are formed by shooting a series of dots without stopping at each dot position. JOF is excellent for jetting small-die underfill (< 5mm) where small fillets (< .5 mm) are required, as well as no-flow underfill and die-attach patterns. Dispense time is significantly reduced (application dependent) when compared to traditional needle dispensing and traditional jet dispensing. Visit our Main Site
